Bekki White

Commissioner White has served as the Director of the Arkansas Geologic Survey and State Geologist since January of 2003.

Commissioner White is currently the longest serving member of the Commission. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Henderson University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Centenary College, and a Master of Science degree in Geology also from Centenary College. She started her career has a research chemist with the Dow Chemical Corporation and after leaving Dow Chemical she took a position with the Chad White Operating Company as a petroleum consultant. Commissioner White served as the Assistant State Geologist with the Arkansas Geological Commission before being named Director and State Geologist. She is a member of the Association of American State Geologists, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and the Geological Society of America.
