Information Technology Services

The Information Technology Services (ITS) office is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment's (E&E) computer network and mission-critical applications. ITS implements and tests new applications and technologies and oversees the agency's website, databases, and email lists. As part of the department's commitment to reducing waste, E&E has adopted an electronic recycling policy which governs the recycling of electronic equipment.

Maps & GIS

DEQ’s Geographic Information System (GIS) Section combines Global Positioning System (GPS) information with information from other datasets, such as topographical maps, census maps, and aerial photography. GPS devices receive radio signals from a network of satellites to pinpoint the geographic coordinates of a specific address. Using DEQ's online GIS map applications, you can find the locations of thousands of physical sites that require DEQ permits or supervision.
