Call for Nominations

This April ADEQ Director Teresa Marks will announce the winner of the 2010 Arkansas Environmental Stewardship Award. The award, nicknamed the ENVY of Arkansas, honors the quality and innovation of the state’s environmental projects and programs.

ADEQ is seeking nominations for this award. Citizens, businesses, industries, farms, or government agencies are eligible for protecting and enhancing the environment in extraordinary ways. ADEQ wants to honor them as the ENVY of Arkansas.

To offer a nomination for the Environmental Stewardship Award, obtain a copy of the ENVY nomination packet, complete it, and return it to ADEQ by March 12, 2010.

ADEQ programs and personnel are not eligible for this award.

The nomination packet contains more details. Review the packet, then contact ADEQ if you have any questions. Completed nomination packets must be postmarked or received by March 12, 2010.

The winner of the 2010 ENVY award will be announced Friday, April 23th during the Pollution Control and Ecology meeting in North Little Rock.
