Program

We can help communities and businesses evaluate their recycling potential – the first step toward reducing dependence on natural resources and lowering waste disposal costs.

ADEQ conducts waste sorts for communities. The department collects, sorts and weighs a representative sample of a community’s waste. The goal is to determine what types and quantities of waste are being generated, and then identify which materials could be exchanged, reused, sold or recycled.

We also conduct walk-through waste audits for businesses. While examining waste management practices, we can help you recognize opportunities to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
