Agency’s National Emissions Inventory Reporting Plan Approved

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) for air emissions reporting requirements for the 2017 National Emissions Inventory (NEI).

ADEQ collects air contaminant emissions data from facilities within the State and submits the collected data to EPA for incorporation into the NEI. All data collection, evaluation, and reporting projects funded by EPA are required to have an approved QAPP in place prior to initiation of project activities. The QAPP is a plan that communicates specifications of project design to all involved parties and ensures that all quality objectives of the project are met. ADEQ submitted its 2017 National Emission Inventory QAPP to EPA in October 2016 and it was approved by EPA on November 1, 2017. EPA’s approval letter can be viewed here.
