Ben Batten

Ben Batten has been with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for 16 years. Currently, he serves as Deputy Director, where he directly serves with the Fisheries, Fiscal, Operations, and Environmental Coordination Divisions. He previously served as Chief and Assistant Chief of the Fisheries Division at Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and as the Program Coordinator for the Family and Community Fishing Program. Before starting with Game and Fish, Ben worked for one year with the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality as an Ecologist in the Technical Services Branch.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2004) and a Master of Science degree in Fisheries Management from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (2008).
