Investigation Comment:
This complaint was conducted as a joint investigation with the Hazardous Waste Division. A PDS records review prior to the investigation revealed that Firestone Building Products, LLC. was granted permission from ADEQ through a letter dated Dec 19, 2006 to the City of Prescott to accept the wastewater. A tour of the inside and outside of the facility revealed nothing that could be construed as hazardous wastewater. Firestone samples monthly for Zinc and Copper at the manhole before the effluent reaches the City collection system.

From online complaint report submitted to the Hazardous Waste Division:
"Firestone paying city to put very Hazardous waste water in Sewer system to get dispose of because they could not find Hazardous waste company that would touch it! What keeps it from leaking out and getting in water supply and in the soil?"
