Reconnaissance Inspection performed 4/6/2016 on permit AR0001210 [Last modified by MCCABE, 4/12/2016 2:53:46 PM]
Description Comment:
Pastor David Bouie contacted me through a voicemail that was left on my state cell phone asking for my e-mail address to be texted to his phone so that he could send me images of flooding concerns that he had during a high rain event March 9-10, 2016. Texting is not available on state-issued cell phones so I called Pastor Bouie on March 31, 2016 and left a message with my e-mail address and phone number to call and discuss his concerns. Pastor Bouie then replied with a text message asking for my e-mail address in which I did not respond to. I contacted Water Division Inspection Branch Manager Jason Bolenbaugh who instructed me to conduct a reconnaissance inspection regarding the self-reported flooding event on March 9-10, 2016. Pastor Bouie first contacted ADEQ about his concerns on March 18, 2016 and was directed to contact Enforcement Branch because the flooding event at Georgia-Pacific Crossett, LLC was self-reported. His concerns were regarding flooding that may have caused some commingling of stormwater and process wastewater. Pastor Bouie then contacted ADEQ Air Division Inspection Branch with complaints in which, ADEQ Air Inspector Tiffany Wooten directed Pastor Bouie to forward his concerns of flooding to the Water Division. After contacting ADEQ Water Division, Inspection Branch Supervisor Jason Bolenbaugh contacted Pastor Bouie and spoke with him on March 21, 2016. Pastor Bouie then contacted my phone directly.
Location Comment:
The area of flooding concerns is the area that is gated directly west of Hancock Road where the process wastewater streams travel under Hancock Road and Highway-82 prior to entering the clarifier (P1) and the ash settling basin (P3).
