The Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is no longer accepting applications. Those submitted before 5:00 p.m. August 15 will be processed by priority and in the order received until all funds are spent. Therefore, not all eligible households may receive LIHWAP benefits.
LIHWAP payments are made directly to enrolled water and wastewater utilities. Utilities may start the LIHWAP enrollment process by completing this short form. To receive LIHWAP payments on behalf of customers, water and wastewater utilities must be enrolled in the program.

Notice of Public Comments & Official Responses to the Draft 23-24 State Weatherization Plan and Final 23-24 State Weatherization Plan
The Arkansas Weatherization Assistance Program annually provides grant funds to local agencies who Weatherization homes of income eligible Arkansans. Weatherization funds available from the U.S. Dept. of Energy (DOE) require that an annual application be submitted. The Arkansas Energy Office (AEO) produces a State Plan from the application it submits to DOE which describes how Weatherization will be implemented in Arkansas.
AEO received comments about the 2023 - 2024 State Plan before and during a public hearing held June 14, 2023. The public comments and AEO responses are located here.
