Pollution Prevention and Lean Principles Training set for Little Rock

NORTH LITTLE ROCK - The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) will co-sponsor a two-day training on pollution prevention and Lean business practices. The training will be held May 23rd and May 24th at the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, 401 President Clinton Ave., in Little Rock. Sessions will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

ADEQ is partnering with the University of Texas at Arlington’s Division for Enterprise Development and its Zero Waste Network to hold the workshop. Thomas Vinson, founder of the Zero Waste Network, will be the primary speaker at the workshop.

Topics at the event will include practices for pollution prevention, efficient business operations, and environmental management systems, including updates on the new ISO 14001 standards. More information about the workshop can be found on the ADEQ homepage under “What’s New at ADEQ?”
