ADEQ Schedules Compliance Assistance Workshops Dates

NORTH LITTLE ROCK—The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) will present a free workshop on regulatory compliance assistance Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Arkansas State University’s Cooper Alumni Center, 2600 Alumni Boulevard in Jonesboro.

The three-hour workshop will include information on the following subjects:

• The Definition of Solid Waste final rule
• Solid Waste disposal fees, operator licensing, and financial assurance
• Common violations found during regulated storage tank inspections
• What to expect during an air inspection
• Water permit literacy
• Emergency response—storm debris

Staff from ADEQ’s Office of Land Resources, Office of Air Quality, Office of Water Quality, and Office of Operations and Outreach will present the workshop.

The workshop will be presented again on Tuesday, November 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Henderson State University’s Garrison Activity Center—Cabe Room, 1045 McKnight Drive in Arkadelphia.
