ADEQ to Hold Two Public Hearings for Draft Decision
to Deny C&H Hog Farm’s Permit Application

NORTH LITTLE ROCK—The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) will hold two public hearings to accept comments on its draft decision to deny C&H Hog Farm’s permit application for a Regulation 5 permit. The first public hearing will be held October 9, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. Central Time at ADEQ headquarters on 5301 Northshore Drive in North Little Rock, Arkansas, in Pulaski County. The second public hearing will take place on October 16, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. Central Time at the Jasper School Cafetorium on 600 School Street in Jasper, Arkansas, in Newton County. Written and oral comments may be submitted regarding the draft denial to the Hearing Officer for consideration at the public hearing.

Written comments on the draft denial may be submitted by accessing the following link on the ADEQ website: http://water.adeq.commentinput.com/?id=m45xxd. Written comments on the draft denial and requests for information regarding the draft denial may also be submitted to ADEQ, ATTN: C&H Draft Denial at 5301 Northshore Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118, or by email at Water-Draft-Permit-Comment@adeq.state.ar.us. The decision will be open for public comment until 4:30 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.

After the public hearing and public comment period, ADEQ will issue a final permitting decision. ADEQ will notify the applicant and each person who has submitted written comments or requested notice of the final permitting decision. Any interested person who has submitted comments within the public comment period may appeal a final decision by ADEQ in accordance with APC&EC Regulation No. 8.
