Implemented 2011 Solid Waste Plan goals including, but not limited to: promoted waste reduction efforts by developing Reuse Guide, expanded recycling opportunities, expanded HHW program, changed waste tire program to facilitate recycling, improved bulky waste collection and offering yard waste composting program; assisted municipalities in developing and implementing expansion of curbside recycling through municipal contracts; worked with consultant to develop community advisory groups to disseminate information and to obtain citizen input. |
