2013 9/1/2014 $245.74 Funds expended on educational supplies and survey subscription for conducting survey polls of teachers and citizens to determine needed services and support.
2012 9/15/2013 $10,402.26 Funds used for additional payment to contractor for final payment on lunch series, citizen advisory committees, and development of curriculum. Also paid education intern and purchased supplies needed for presentations and activities presented by District staff.
2011 9/5/2012 $3,048.00 Contracted with Waste Reduction Resources, LLC to: plan & schedule Trash Class luncheon series in partnership with local Chambers of Commerce to educate citizens about solid waste issues; develop community Advisory Groups in two communities; develop customized lesson plans with local informatino to be taught in partner schools by volunteers; develop educational PowerPoint presentation about solid waste services within the District to be presented at City Council meetings; and film and produce best practices video specifically related to event recycling. Also developed internship procedures and tasks, as well as partnering with NWACC Service Learing program to solicit and employ new education intern.
