Change Order No. 01 extended scheduled completion date to 12/31/02. Licensed waste haulers and enforced licensing program; prepared various reports for ADEQ and Board of Directors; attended district meetings and State legislative sessions; assisted recycling education coordinator; attended CRAIG meetings and worked with public/private recycling partnership.
Recycling efforts are currently marketed to residents of Craighead County (82,000+). Grant funds have enabled us to assist in curbside pickup of recyclables; recycling education; and public/private cooperatives for recycling.
Hours of operation at the Jonesboro MRF facility owned by the Craighead County District are 8 am-4 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am - 3:30 pm on Saturday. This is where recyclables collected from the various projects are dropped off. Individual cities have daily or weekly routes for pickup and/or have trailers readily available for residents to drop off recyclables. |
