Grant Expenditures
Year Date Amount Summary
2017 11/18/2016 $0.00 Approval to sell a variety of equipment no longer needed. The proceeds of the sale will be used to enhance and expand the recycling programs of the district.
2002 8/29/2003 $2,877.00 This grant was used to purchase extra bins and sleeves to attach to the bottom of the bins that are removed from the trailers with the recyclable materials so that they can be inverted without slipping off the forks. This purchase was considered to increase the speed and safety of emptying the recycling trailers. We are currenlty having some problem with this system as the forks on the forklift are a little too wide for the rails and were are in the process of trying to find forks that will attach that will slide into the rails. The recycling program at the Saline County Regional Solid Waste Management District's landfill is open from 6 a.m to 4 p.m, seven days per week. The program accepts newsprint, white office paper, aluminum cans, steel cans, and white goods.
2001 7/31/2002 $37,123.00 Purchased 3 AlleyCat collection trailers. These are being used as collection centers in Benton, Bryant, and Haskell. They are extremely easy to haul and handicap accessible.
