Solid Waste Facility Operator
License Class Levels Definitions
Each license class offers three levels determined by training and experience.
Level A – Apprentice
- Complete 20-hour course of approved training.
- Pass exam.
- Level A license is not renewable.
Level B – Journeyman
- Hold a Level A license for one year.
- Complete the 20-hour course of approved training.
- Pass exam.
- Complete one year of experience in solid waste management or operation.
- Carry out the responsibilities of an operator.
Level C – Supervisory or Master
- Hold a Level B license for one year.
- Complete a 20-hour course of approved training.
- Pass exam.
- Complete two years of experience in solid waste management or operation.
- Carry out the responsibilities of an operator.
