Disclaimer Regarding Electronic Copies of APC&E Commission Regulations: The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality recognizes the official version of a regulation to be the paper copy the Arkansas Secretary of State's Office stamps with a file date after the Arkansas Pollution Control & Ecology Commission approves the document. The Secretary of State also attaches to this document an Arkansas Register Transmittal Sheet containing the regulation’s effective date.

Pursuant to Section 2 of Act 1219 of 1997, as of March 31, 1999 the Arkansas Department of Pollution Control and Ecology became the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality.  All regulations of the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission remain in full force before, during and after the Department's name change.
