  1. This World Wide Web (WWW) site is provided as a public service by the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).  This Internet privacy policy statement is a description of ADEQ's current practices and shall not be construed as a contractual undertaking. ADEQ reserves the right to amend its Internet Privacy Policy and this statement at any time without notice. ADEQ's privacy and public records obligations are governed solely by applicable Arkansas statutes, including, but not limited to, the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (Ark Code Ann. § 25-19-101 et seq.) and any applicable United States federal laws.
  2. When you come to this web site to browse, our Web server automatically recognizes only the Internet domain and IP address from which you accessed the site. This information does not result in the identification of your personal e-mail address or other personal information.  In addition, information is only gathered regarding the volume and timing of access to the site by collecting information on the date, time and pages you visited while at the site.  This government computer system uses industry-standard software to create summary statistics, which are used for such things as assessing what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas so that the content of and functionality of our site can be improved.  We use the information we collect to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, and to help us make our pages more useful to visitors. This information is only used internally, does not contain personal identifiers, and will only be used for internal management purposes.
  3. Where identifying information is asked of you (to respond to an information request, etc.) that information is used only for responding to your comment or question.   4. For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, this government computer system employs industry-standard methods to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.
  5. No other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes.
  6. Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986, or the Computer-Related Crimes provisions under Arkansas law, Ark. Code Ann. 5-41-101 et seq.
  7. We want to be very clear:  If you desire to remain anonymous do not provide us any personally identifying information. We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Except as might be required by law, we do not share any information we receive with outside parties.

Any information collected within the context of the "Send a Question/Comment to ADEQ" E-mail links and the "Send a Citizen Complaint form to a specific ADEQ Division" links is used only for the expressed purpose of responding to your comment, question or Citizen Complaint and is not used for other purposes.

It is not required for submission of comments or citizen complaints that you provide any personally identifying information, such as your name or your E-mail address. However, that information would be necessary for us to send you a response.

  • Simply stated:  We will never deliver to or sell your information to outside parties.  However, please be aware that as a public agency, under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), all records in the possession of ADEQ are subject public discloure to members of the public for any purpose they may desire.
