Arkansas Environmental Laws

The regulations adopted by the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission are the basis for ADEQ's environmental permitting, monitoring and enforcement, public involvement activities and other services.

Arkansas environmental regulations are consistent with national environmental laws and Arkansas laws passed by the Arkansas legislature.

Arkansas laws are compiled and written in the Arkansas Code, Annotated (ACA). Most Arkansas environmental laws written in ACA Title 8 - Environmental Law, though there are environmental related laws throughout the Arkansas code.

The Arkansas General Assembly (legislature) offers an online version of the Arkansas Code.
