Natural State Environmental Program. A program of the E&E Division of Environmental Quality

The Natural State Stewardship Program (NSTEP) is a voluntary stewardship program that provides recognition for organizations in Arkansas that excel in sustainability practices, the conservation of Arkansas' natural resources, or the advancement of education in their communities.

NSTEP is open to all Arkansas organizations, including manufacturers, businesses, schools, consultants, municipalities, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and more! The program has three membership levels: Quartz, Turquoise, and Diamond.

Enterprise Services has published an interactive Storymap through ArcGIS to provide an insightful overview of NSTEP. The Storymap aims to highlight the program's members and their sustainability practices and improvements that better the communities around them. Click on the image below to view the Storymap.
