Permit Assistance

Established in 2019 as part of the Transformation and Efficiencies Act of 2019 (Act 910), the new umbrella agency called the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment (E&E) absorbed the former Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), which is now named the Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and retains its function as Arkansas's regulatory body in the area of environmental protection.

If you're seeking an environmental permit, registration, or certification for your business, school, community, or activity, the DEQ can help! Permits ensure that businesses and individuals understand and comply with all applicable federal and state environmental standards to protect our air, land, and water. The following resources are available to help you find information on activities requiring a permit, including the purpose, fees, applications, where to submit applications, applicable rules, and agency contacts, guidelines, and supporting information.
