UST Operator Training and Exam Schedule

DEQ offers free training to prepare owners and operators for the Class A and Class B certification examinations and provides training videos online. The training is optional, but there has been a higher percentage of passing grades among those who took the training than those who chose not to. Training is offered the same day as testing.

To register to take the certification exam, an applicant must submit the application form and nonrefundable examination fee ($25 for one test; $50 if registering for both Class A and Class B tests) at least one week prior to the scheduled test date. Check or money order should be payable to DEQ and mailed to the Arkansas Department of Energy & Environment, Division of Environmental Quality, Land Resources, RST - UST Operator Certification, 5301 Northshore Drive, North Little Rock, AR 72118-5317.

Seating is limited. Participants must preregister and call for confirmation prior to attending a scheduled UST Operator Training and Certification Exam.

*NOTE: If state offices in Pulaski County are placed on inclement weather policy status, any scheduled DEQ operator training class/exam for that day will NOT be held. Please call to confirm class status prior to attendance. Classes/exams canceled for this reason will be rescheduled at a later date.
