ADEQ Go RED! 2nd Application Deadline Nearing

NORTH LITTLE ROCK—The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) $649,494 in the 2018 round of funding for the Reduce Emissions from Diesels (Go RED!) Program. After the first deadline at the end of December 2018, ADEQ has processed seven applications with pending awards estimated at approximately $227,450.
Applications for the remaining $422,044 balance of Go RED! funds will be accepted through January 31, 2019. If funds are still available after the January 31 deadline, subsequent deadlines will be set at 4:30 p.m. on the last day of each subsequent month until all funds are awarded, or until April 30, 2019, whichever occurs first.

Public and private entities and non-profit organizations in Arkansas are eligible to receive funding under the Go RED! Program. Projects that are selected for awards must reduce diesel emissions in Arkansas by employing measures such as exhaust controls, engine upgrades, idle reduction technologies, engine replacement, and vehicle/equipment replacement.

Projects that receive Go RED! funding must be completed by August 31, 2019. Applications for the Go RED! Program can be found on the ADEQ website at https://www.adeq.state.ar.us/air/planning/gored/.
